Biography
Timothy Robert Archie was a Republican political worker, public servant and interior designer.
Timothy Archie was born in 1959 and grew up in Glencoe, Illinois. He graduated from New Trier East High School and then went on to Roanoke College, graduating in 1982.
Upon graduation, Archie moved to Washington, DC where his first job was with the College Republican National Committee. Through most of the 1980s he worked in the Reagan Administration serving as an Executive Assistant to Mari Maseng for her various appointments - Department of Transportation (1984-1985), her move to the private sector with the Beatrice Company (1985-1986) and finally her appointment as Director of the Office of Public Liaison at the White House (1986-1987). In 1988 he worked for the Bob Dole for President campaign until Senator Dole dropped out of the race.
In 1990, Archie made a career switch and became a successful interior decorator in the Alexandria, Virginia area.
Archie passed away at home on March 19, 2018 from Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis after battling the disease for more than 20 years. He was 58 years old.
Archie was married to Jennifer (Caroll) Archie. They met when they worked together at the College Republican National Committee. They had two sons, Duff and Ben Archie.
