HOW IS THE MUSEUM HANDLING ONGOING COVID-19 ISSUES?

The Museum is currently following CDC guidelines based on community infection levels. Please wear a mask if you feel you need the protection. We encourage visitors to feel comfortable in distancing yourself from other visitors. Hand sanitizers are available throughout the Museum and daily cleaning has been enhanced throughout our facility. As in all things, we ask all visitors to use commonsense and courtesy as visitors to the museum. If you feel sick or know you have an infectious cold or flu, we ask you to postpone your visit and we'll see you another time.

DO I HAVE TO PAY TO PARK?

Parking at the library is free of charge.

WHAT IS INCLUDED WITH MY TICKET?

Purchase of a one-day ticket includes all exhibits currently on display at the library.

IF I PURCHASED MY TICKETS ONLINE, HOW DO I USE THEM?

Once your order is finished, you will see a "summary screen" that allows you to print a ticket voucher that shows all items you have ordered. You will also receive an email with a link to this page in case you are unable to print at the time of ordering. Once you have printed your voucher, simply present it to the admissions desk on the date that you purchased tickets for and you will receive admission to the museum. If you do not receive your email shortly after purchasing, you may call 805-522-2977 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time and 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time, Monday through Friday.

I AM UNABLE TO PRINT MY VOUCHER, WHAT DO I DO?

Not a problem. simply give the phone number associated with your purchase to the admissions desk and you will receive your tickets.

WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO PURCHASE MY TICKETS ONLINE?

Same day tickets may be purchased in the Museum Lobby.

I WANT TO PRE-PURCHASE TICKETS, BUT AM UNABLE TO DO SO ONLINE, WHAT DO I DO?

You may purchase tickets for a future date and time by calling the Library’s Visitor Services Department, 805-577-4112 , Monday through Friday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. To claim these tickets, simply give your phone number to the admissions desk on the day of your visit.

HOW DO I VOLUNTEER AT THE LIBRARY?

The Reagan Library has a vibrant, active and fun volunteer organization. Museum volunteers serve to provide all guests with an enjoyable and memorable experience. All volunteers must be United States citizens or legal residents over the age of 16 and be willing to volunteer a minimum of 150 hours per year. HOW DO I RESERVE A GROUP TOUR OF THE MUSEUM?

Guided tours are available at the Library. Group reservations are required for groups of over 25 whether you have a guided tour or not. Learn more about group and guided tours.

WHAT DO I DO IF I WANT TO BRING MY SCHOOL TO THE MUSEUM?

School groups are currently not being booked at the Library. We welcome school groups to the Library, and have school group information for each specific grade and situation.

HOW LONG DOES A VISIT TO THE LIBRARY NORMALLY TAKE?

The museum spans 125,000 square feet of galleries, both permanent and temporary, as well as the Air Force One Pavilion. It is recommended that visitors allow for 3-4 hours to fully experience the entire museum. The museum is designed for guests to self-guide.

IS THE MUSEUM HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE?

Yes. The entirety of the museum (except for the interior of Air Force One) are handicap accessible. A drop-off section is located at the museum entrance for guests with disabilities.

DOES THE LIBRARY PROVIDE WHEELCHAIRS?

Yes. Wheelchairs may be checked-out free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Please inquire at the admissions desk upon visiting.

ARE STROLLERS ALLOWED IN THE MUSEUM?

The museum can accommodate single strollers. Double strollers are not encouraged due to the layout of some exhibits. Note: Temporary exhibits may be subject to different policies.

DOES THE LIBRARY HAVE PLACES TO EAT?

Yes. The Gipper's Bistro has food and beverages for all guests to purchase. The Ronald Reagan Pub, located in the Air Force One Pavilion, is currently open on the weekends and has cold entries, drinks and snacks available for purchase. Both areas also provide seating. Note: Food and beverages are not allowed inside the museum.

AM I ALLOWED TO USE MY CELL-PHONE INSIDE THE MUSEUM?

We respectfully ask that all cell-phones be silenced while in the museum. Guests are allowed to take pictures and videos of the museum, as long as the flash is turned off. This is to protect artifacts that have sensitivities to light.

ARE RESTROOMS AVAILABLE INSIDE THE MUSEUM?

Guests can access restrooms in the lobby, near the oval office exhibit, inside the Air Force One Pavilion, and near the The Gipper's Bistro. No restrooms are available inside the temporary exhibits. Restrooms are never closed to the public, but may have limited access due to COVID-19 distancing restrictions.

DOES THE LIBRARY HAVE A GIFT SHOP?

Yes. The Reagan Library Museum can be found next to The Gipper's Bistro and the exit of the Reagan Galleries. Tickets are not required to shop at the museum store.

IS THERE A PLACE TO PARK AN RV OR TRAILER?

RVs and trailers must be parked on Presidential Drive since the visitor parking lot is too narrow. It is best to approach the top of Presidential Drive and go around the traffic circle and park on the downhill side of Presidential Drive. Overnight parking is not permitted.

DOES THE LIBRARY PROVIDE BUS PARKING?

Limited bus parking is available. There is also space available on Presidential drive.

DOES THE LIBRARY HAVE A BAG AND COAT CHECK?

No. Due to security concerns, the library does not have a bag and coat check. Additionally, all handbags, backpacks, large purses, etc. are subject to search. Guests are encouraged to leave all large belongings locked inside their vehicles during their visit.

CAN I BRING MY PET TO THE LIBRARY?

No. The library permits only working or service animals on the grounds or inside the museum. All of these animals must be clearly identified.

IS THIS A TRADITIONAL LIBRARY? AM I ABLE TO CHECK OUT BOOKS?

The Reagan Library is a federal facility housing the papers, audio-visual material and museum objects from the Reagan Administration, Individuals doing research with this material are not allowed to check out items or take them home. The Library does lend material to qualified museums and institutions for exhibition purposes.

CAN I HAVE A PARTY AT THE LIBRARY?

The library has many areas available for rental for special events. The library also has an on-site catering company. Weddings, wedding receptions, birthday parties, Bar Mitzvahs, and other personal events cannot be held on Library grounds.

DID THE LIBRARY USED TO BE PRESIDENT REAGAN'S RANCH?

No. President Reagan's ranch, known as Rancho del Cielo, was located north of Santa Barbara, CA. The ranch was sold by the Reagans in 1998. The site used for the library is 300 acres, with 29 being occupied by buildings and landscapes.
