The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library artifact collection contains over 89,000 three-dimensional objects and works of art related to the lives and careers of President Ronald Reagan and Nancy Reagan, from their early days to Hollywood to the White House and beyond. Other objects relate to the presidency or American history in general, and the 1980s specifically. Gifts given to President and Mrs. Reagan during the administration–by world leaders as well as private citizens–make up the majority of the collection.
Since 1991, Reagan Curatorial Staff staff have been working to document and photograph artifact collections in our storage facility. Like other cultural institutions, our artifact collections catalog is an important tool in the daily management and care of our collections. The Digital Artifact Collection provides a public portal to our artifact catalog records and allows the public to witness our progress as Reagan Library staff continually work to enhance the data related to our artifacts by cataloging, inventorying, digitizing and researching the collection.
Currently, only a selection of the museum artifacts collection is available to search in this online resource. Additional records and images are being added regularly. Please check back periodically for new entries.
