We're sorry. Due to the coronavirus public health emergency, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum will be closed to the public beginning March 14th until further notice. All public events at the Reagan Library facilities are cancelled until further notice. Where possible, we will conduct public events and outreach activities online and through virtual meetings. For online education information, please see our educational resources.

Archivist Associate Intern

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library is accepting applications for the Archivist Associate Intern position.

Project Description:

Under the supervision of the Supervisory Archivist, the candidate will participate in a full range of archival activities and duties. Duties may include: complying inventory and finding aids of presidential records, gubernatorial records, audio visual materials or recent donations to determine their stage of processing with regard to steps of the acquisition process, arrangement, and description; creating a spreadsheet of information gathered during the inventory to be used in prioritizing future arrangement and description activities of the Public Archives; completing arrangement and description on select collections; and entering the resulting descriptions into a database. Candidates may also work on a variety of preservation and digitization projects for the Reagan Library website.


All individuals are encouraged to apply.  Undergraduate credit courses in history would be an asset.  Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications is essential. Previous experience working in an archival setting preferred.
